چکیده
Asymbiotic and associative diazotropic bacteria such as Azotobacter and Azosprillum, respectively are widely distributed in different rhizospheric and nonrhizospheric soils and help in growth and development of plants. Sixty two soil samples were collected from different crop rotations namely Rice-Wheat, Vegetables, Agro forestry and Grassland from the districts Chandauli, Jaunpur,Ballia, Ghazipur, Sultanpur and Faizabad of eastern Uttar Pradesh in India for enumerating population of Azotobacter & Azospirillum and electro-chemical properties of soil. The result showed that per gram cfu of Azotobacter and Azospirillum in rice-wheat ranged from 10x 105 to 21 x 105 and 5.5 x 105 to 15 x 105, in vegetables 14.5 x 105 to 21 x 105 and 9 x 105 to 15 x 105, in agro-forestry 11x 105 to 20 x 105 and 6 x 105 to 14 x 105 and in grassland 8x 105 to 12 x 105 and 5 x 105 to 9 x 105, respectively. Soils had a neutral to sodic reaction (pH= 7.2-8.9), medium to high organic carbon (0.59-0.94%), low to medium phosphorus (5.34 -10.23 kg ha-1), medium to high potassium (129-379 kg ha-1) and medium available nitrogen (310-466 kg ha-1).

Measurement of radium concentration and radon exhalation rates of soil samples collected from some areas of Bulandshahr district, Uttar Pradesh, India using plastic track detectors
Background: Radon is an odourless, colourless and tasteless gas and it is the first cause of lung cancer among non- smokers. The assessment of the level of radium in building materials helps in understanding the radiological implications. It has been observed that everyone has some levels of exposure to them. Therefore measurement of radium and radon in the soil samples are important f...

The study was conducted to demonstrate expression profile of cold shock protein genes; cold inducible RNA binding protein (CIRP) and RNA binding motif protein 3 (RBM3) in goats (Capra hircus) during different seasons to check the gene expression in different thermal conditions. Blood samples were collected from healthy goats of tropical and temperate region during peak winter, moderate season a...

Replenishing nutrients through organic sources is essential to maintain the soil health and sustainability in Eastern Himalayan Region, India which is organic by default. Keeping this in mind an experiment was laid out on randomized block design with six treatments viz., T1: Vermicompost (VC; 2.5 Mg ha-1), T2: Poultry manure (PM; 1.25 Mg ha-1), T3: Swine manure (SM; 3.0 Mg ha-1), T4: Cow du...
متن کاملEvaluating a murine model of endometritis using uterine isolates of Escherichia coli from postpartum buffalo
Ascending infection of the uterus with Gram-negative bacteria is responsible for postpartum endometritis in cattle and buffalo and can adversely affect fertility. Development of a laboratory animal model for bovine endometritis would facilitate the understanding of the pathogenesis as it is difficult to conduct controlled experimentation in the native host. In the present study, 30 virgin Swiss...
